Fused glass bird sculpture in colors of blues and greens.  Bird is approx. 5” tall.  This whimsical bird is standing in a puddle of water on a glass base that measures approx. 7” long by 3” deep.  Part of my “Chubby Wubby” limited edition collection.  No two sculptures are alike.  Handcrafted from multiple pieces of cut glass which are then painted with enamels and assembled.  Wire legs are shaped and added between layers of glass.  The piece goes into the kiln for a fuse firing cycle which takes 24 hrs to complete.  When cooled the bird is then mounted to a glass base.  In this case a rectangular cut piece of clear glass with edges that are ground down to make it smooth.
